The Bahamas, an archipelago of 700 islands, welcome every year several millions of tourists. It should be noted that the majority of perishable foodstuff are imported while the local agriculture production is very insufficient. Abaco accounts among its residents people of all nationalities, has a huge sailor’s circulation and fortunately the locals are opened to responsible and sustainable development. The inevitably increasing food- processing industry thus entails nowadays a high demand in fresh organic produce with the hotel catering avid to satisfy its clientele always more worried about its health.

We chose to develop  the biological gardens on the basis of the permaculture. The governing idea of the permaculture is to respect and to harmonize the needs of Mother Earth  and the agricultural crops. We shall produce fresh vegetables in abundance and very quickly, once the biological gardens are functional, we plan the opening of a restaurant proposing well balanced and alive food. Nevertheless this type of restoration will be compatible with other food types.

Main pavilion

- Purchasing of the land for the Center of Life;

- Concept linked to the architectural landscape: roads, paths, water pools, gardens, games, rest areas for the center;

Construction of the Main Pavilion including offices and reception area, meditation center, administration, dining room, treatment and consultation rooms, conference hall, laundry, maintenance, boutique and other sales points;

- Development of the prototype of our ecological house;

- Establishment of our catering profile.

- Plantation of 25 acres.

- First harvest of the fruit trees

Finally on the third or fourth year, we are going to be able to receive you with your family or within a group in small ecological houses located in a welcoming nature. We shall propose weekly themes but everyone will be free to choose its own activities..

 

Construction of the first 10 ecological units to rent;

 

N.B. : It should be noted that since we haven’t yet put definitive choices on the concept and style of architecture which we wish to promote, the photos of the eco-houses which appear on the site are strictly there as exemples.

 

 - Beginning of the development of the landscape, other infrastructures for games and rest areas as well as the community gardens of the center;

 

- Official opening to the public of the catering, the professional care and other services offered by the Center.
